Training is the most important thing we do as members. Our company prides itself on training its members constantly. From a full scale scenario, to a table top discussion, if your in our building on a Thursday night, then we are always making ourselves better firemen. Our drills are open to all Neptune Firefighters, and any mutual aid company members who may want to participate with us.
Our members are trained in a wide scale of diverse disciplines. in addition to training to be firefighters, many of our members bring vital skills to the table from their day jobs. From being carpenters to masons, to law enforcement, everyone brings a new tool to the toolbox.
In addition many of our members have expanded their training even further, by becoming active with our partner emergency response agencies which include:
Technical Rescue: Neptune Township Special Operations Team ( Station 34-8)
Many of our members respond as part of the Neptune Special Operations Rescue Team. These members are trained in Structural Collapse, Confined Space, High/ Low Angle Rescue, as well as Vehicle Extrication.
Hazmat Technician/Specialist: Neptune Hazmat (Station 34-9)
Several of our members are also trained to the Technician Level or Specialist Level as part of the Hazmat Response component of the Office of Emergency Management.
